Although the 'American' Series guitars were made by ESP in Japan, they were assembled in the US. Starting in late 1985, virtually all Kramer guitars were being made by ESP Guitars in Japan. I thought I'd try using a very light bracing pattern across the top of an acoustic guitar so the instrument would have a regular acoustic presence even though it's strung with electric guitar strings. Kramer was very careful to not stamp 'Made In USA' anywhere on its neckplates starting in about 1985/1986. This item can be sent to United States, but the seller has not specified postage options. Musicians occasionally try to compensate by putting electric strings on an acoustic guitar, but the sound ends up being so soft that it's sometimes hard to hear what's being played. Dweezil has a few of my guitars, and he's really a fast player, but folks like him don't usually use acoustic guitars because the strings are so heavy that it's practically impossible to play in the kind of quick, pyrotechnical style that they like so much. These necks are hard to find this clean and original. The neck is straight, truss rod works fine, frets are in good shape with minimal wear and lots of life left. This neck is a C shaped Maple neck with a 22 fret Rosewood fretboard. This neck was on a Fender MIM Stratocaster and it played great.
